About Me

James L Whiteside is Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Dartmouth Medical School. Dr. Whiteside completed undergraduate studies at The College of William and Mary in Virginia followed by a graduate degree at the University of Georgia. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brown University/Women and Infant’s Hospital followed by his fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Whiteside has also completed a Master of Arts in Bioethics and Health Policy from Loyola University in Chicago. He is nationally recognized for his research work with over 20 peer-reviewed publications and 7 book chapters and has given both national and international talks on topics ranging from anatomy to ethics. He is a reviewer for 10 scientific journals and a grant reviewer for both national and international research in pelvic floor dysfunction.
