In response to what I do for a living, I usual say that I "help people out." As a midwife, this is both literal and figurative. I firmly believe in caring for, supporting, and empowering women throughout their lives. My role as a midwife is to provide a safe range of information and guidance to my patients enabling them to make healthy choices for themselves and their families, and bearing witness to their awesome strength in labor and birth. I have been caring for women in the Philadelphia area at Valley Birthplace and Woman Care since 2007.
I received my Master's degree in both Midwifery and Women's Health at the University of Pennsylvania. I also hold degrees from Haverford College (BA, Anthropology) and Georgetown University (BSN, Nursing).
When I am not catching babies and such, I enjoy spending time with family and friends- laughing, cooking, traveling, and being outdoors. See More
